Saag paneer + spiced okra + yellow dahl at Desi Junction in Surrey, BC Five years prior we got $5 haircuts at the John Casablancas Hair & Beauty school in Vancouver. The stylist suggested we go to Desi Junction because they served her favorite Indian food. We went. Someone in line in the bathroom told us the owner was formerly the head chef for the Prime Minister of India. We enjoyed the food. Five years later, in age of Google Maps and Yelps we re-find the 2.5 starred restaurant in a suburban strip-mall a few miles from the 49th parallel. The food was too expensive, but okay.
